Being a lifelong Blade and a supporter of diversity and inclusion, I had to get my company, Prominate, to sponsor the Rainbow Blades charity match supporting the LGBTQ+ community in football.
I've known the Rainbow Blades’ team for some time, and they always put their heart and soul into their events to maximise the messaging to support the LGBTQ+ community in football. This is the type of support Prominate can get behind and is passionate about.
So, when luck struck on a drunken night in Wembley where I bumped into Katey, I explained my idea, and practically demanded that we collaborate, it was a no-brainer for me.
Rainbow Blades delivered. The event was executed professionally. The charity match was buzzing with excitement from the volunteers, players and the supporters as they waved the LGBTQ+ flags proudly. The Prominate branding was on all their marketing, the football shirts, and the screen. With a professional photographer, we were given the opportunity for a group shot with the team wearing the shirts we sponsored and with the trophy (of course the team we sponsored won.)
Sponsoring this fantastic event was a proud moment for me and Prominate. Supporting a cause that perfectly aligns with our commitment to fostering an inclusive community helped deliver our message of advocating for diversity in communities and our company internally.
